Twisted Tea Half & Half

Today’s Mistake: Twisted Tea Half & Half. They can’t call it an Arnold Palmer, but that’s what it is.

I don’t have too many clever moments, but I was awfully proud of the first time I mixed iced tea, lemonade, and vodka. I’d had thousands of regular Palmers before, but it was that great moment that changed the course of my life. I’m fond of these alcoholic golf drinks, or John Daly’s, and I’m glad so many enterprising American breweries decided to commercialize them. Best of all, there’s an officially sanctioned Hard Arnold Palmer, and when I can find it again, I’ll review the hell out of it. Anyway, Twisted Tea Half & Half is the same kind of thing, and I’ve definitely had it before. As I recall, it’s got some of the signature Twisted Tea sharpness but with a nice lemonade flavor on the back.

It looks like iced tea, much like everything made by Twisted Tea.

It doesn’t taste strong, but there’s a weird singe that’s not present in their other varieties. I much prefer my homemade Daly’s.

Sweet and smooth, maybe a hint of carbonation somewhere.

I like the color scheme, but otherwise sort of boring.

Not cheap. You’re better off making them at home.

Final Verdict

It’s a mediocre drink. 2 out of a possible 5.
